I just finished my first Librivox book–Austen’s Persuasion! Thanks for volunteering for this great project–you have a great reading voice! I’m currently at the dissertation stage (the saggy, middle part) of a PhD in English, and I cannot tell you how *fun* it is to enjoy great literature during my walks and housework!

I’m listening all over again, too. I think the fact that there is only an average of one illustration per chapter makes the text very suitable for an audio version — the authors have to use language clearly and carefully to give us the visuals. Although I studied art history in college, I found I picked up a lot of new ideas from this little book!
