Bowling
On Sunday Dan and I played some Wii tennis, golf, and bowling. Tennis used to be my favorite, but bowling is really fun too. That was the first time we really played golf and I haven’t figured out how to swing the club just a little bit, so putting was kind of frustrating. I’m sure I’ll figure it out.
Did a lot of stuff today — much housework, many errands, a recording (chapter 19 of Letters of Two Brides), plus made a nice dinner and homemade cinnamon rolls. Yum! And then we bowled some more after dinner. My muscles are sooooo sore.

Hmmm. I need to exercise and I don’t. I’m wondering if the Wii might be good for me in that way. I have yet to find anything else that motivates me to do it. I’ve heard nothing but great stuff about it.

Yeah, I find it a very good way to get some exercise. You don’t need to GO anywhere; it’s right there in the living room. You can just do as much as you want. I breathe hard and get tired after playing for a while, so I know I’m getting my blood moving around and more air in my lungs. And golly, if I haven’t played for a while I end up with sore muscles the next day!
You can play by yourself and try to improve your skill level, or play with others and have a great time together.
At $250, it’s cheaper than a good treadmill, and takes up less room, and you won’t end up piling your laundry on it ;-)
Also you can buy Legend of Zelda: The Twilight Princess and play one of the best RPGs ever, when you’re not playing tennis or bowling!
Yes, we love our Wii, we lovelovelove it.

Wow, good to know. The only thing that has ever gotten me close to a regular exercise routine before is a treadmill but it’s just so boring. I think if I were doing something fun I wouldn’t mind the whole physical exertion thing! :P
And Zelda is a good incentive, it was one of my two favorite games (along with Tetris) on the original Nintendo system. Hmm, something to save for I guess!
