Somehow it’s October already? Not sure where September went…
Lovely Autumn day. I sat on the balcony and read for a long time. I’m reading “Once, Twice, Three Times an Aisling” on my kindle, which is great, and also “The Fortnight in September” which was recommended on Twitter and sounded like my kind of book: a family in 1930s London goes to the seaside for a fortnight and nothing much happens. It’s unavailable at any of my libraries so I bought an actual paper copy from bookshop.org. It’s utterly charming and beautifully written and I love it!
