Dave took me out for dinner at his favorite hole-in-the-wall Vietnamese place. I had veggie pho and it was delicious. Flavorful broth, great assortment of veggies cooked just right, big chunks of tofu. So good!
We looked at Zillow for more houses in Portland and found several good candidates, so we made plane reservations to go up there in a couple of weeks and look at them in person! Dave has a realtor there whom he trusts so she’ll help us. And we’ll visit Henry et al while we’re there! Very very exciting! My life sure has changed a lot for the better over the past few months.
I’m increasing my Remodulin dose little by little again. When this titration ends I hope to get fixed up with the new teeny-tiny medication pump, Remunity!
Drove back up to UC to do some sewing, water the plants, etc. Sewed a little cloth box to organize my top drawer and will make more when I’m sure it’s the right size. We made jacket potatoes for dinner — I put butter and broccoli on mine, and Dave added broccoli, ham, cheese, and beans :D
Nice lazy day. Hand-sewed the binding on my long-unfinished quilt while watching Masterchef with Dave. Oh! And I restarted my Animal Crossing island a few days ago so I played for a while and picked out a spot for Blathers’s tent.
Happy birthday to my beautiful, kind, artistic sister Kathy!!!
We watched the second episode of Strictly Come Dancing tonight. Such a joyous show. Judi Love’s samba was so much fun, and Robert Webb’s tango was amazing! A huge improvement over last week! I’m so sad that someone will be voted out tomorrow. As usual with Strictly and the Bake Off and the Sewing Bee, I want all the contestants to keep dancing and baking and sewing every week forever.
And then, since Dave isn’t familiar with Robert Webb, we watched the first two episodes of Peep Show and I think he liked it, thank goodness :D
“The first thing to say is this is not pyramid selling.”
Somehow it’s October already? Not sure where September went…
Lovely Autumn day. I sat on the balcony and read for a long time. I’m reading “Once, Twice, Three Times an Aisling” on my kindle, which is great, and also “The Fortnight in September” which was recommended on Twitter and sounded like my kind of book: a family in 1930s London goes to the seaside for a fortnight and nothing much happens. It’s unavailable at any of my libraries so I bought an actual paper copy from bookshop.org. It’s utterly charming and beautifully written and I love it!
