Lovely album art
Some of our very artistic volunteers have been creating beautiful album art/cd inserts for our books. Some are so appealing, it makes me want to listen to the books even though I don’t know anything at all about them.

Dear Kara,
first of all a thousand thanks for all the audiobooks at librivox. I spent many happy hours listening to your voice. I haven’t read “A Little Princess” and “The Secret Garden” before in a any language. )) And now the Grammar-Land is great!
But I have a request to you. Very sorry if I bother you, just delete this comment and forget about it.
I’m an English teacher in Ukraine, my students are kids mostly. I need about 100 very short sentences being read aloud. Would you be so kind to it for me?

Hello! I know this post is old, but I did some googling and found it because I am listening to you read Heidi. It’s so lovely, but the hard copy version I own is not so great. Could you share what version you are reading from? I’d love to hunt down a hard copy 😊

Hi Jessica! So happy you’re enjoying the story. At librivox we read almost exclusively from the ebooks on Project Gutenberg, which we link to for every book! Here’s my Heidi catalog page: https://librivox.org/heidi-by-johanna-spyri-solo/ . Look in the left column where it says “online text” and it will take you right to the main page for that edition of Heidi: http://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/1448
As for a hard copy, you might be out of luck. Gutenberg says, “Project Gutenberg Etexts are usually created from multiple editions, all of which are in the Public Domain in the United States, unless a copyright notice is included. Therefore, we usually do NOT keep any of these books in compliance with any particular paper edition.”
I probably chose the translation that was most in line with the copy I read as a child — the one that “sounded right”. Perhaps you can compare the Gutenberg e-text with various hard copies until you find one that suits you :)
