Doesn’t it feel great to know that people are actually listening to your work? Then to know they enjoy it? :) Wishing this year is a good one for you Kara.

Hi,
I have a (real) name similar to your Hungarian fan. I have been listening to your reading of _A Little Princess_ recently, and I was planning to email you to say that your voice is wonderful to listen to. :-)
Happy New Year

Thank you, Margaine :) I love that book so much! Glad you’re enjoying it, too.
Kri, yes getting feedback is so nice. Sometimes I wonder if anyone out there is listening ;-)

Hi,
I just found your recording of Struwwelpeter and it’s great!! Thank you very much for your work – I will listen to some of your english recordings for sure.
Greetings from a new fan from Germany,

Hi Eva, glad you liked Der Struwwelpeter! With our new LibriVox catalog system, it’s very easy to find all the recordings made by a certain reader. Just go to http://librivox.org/newcatalog/visitor.php
and type a name in the “reader” field. (kayray or kara, for instance ;-) Set the “Status” dropdown to “Complete” and hit “Search”. Presto!

Oh, Kara!
How lovely it is to be able to express myself to you, for the first time, after having listened to so many of your audiobooks. The Secret Garden, and A little princess being two of my favorites; I had noticed you took the time to do both of Frances Hodgson Burnett’s work and wondered if you felt as strongly for those two as I do.. (after reading above in these comments, apparently you do.. lol
Please excuse how strange this message might have come across, it’s always so weird (the internet is) to hear from a complete stranger who’s eager to express some form of gratitude or appreciation..
I dunno, I suppose one just always feels “connected” in some way.. during a time, forever preserved when you read out a favorite book that has touched a heart or two..
Either way, thank you very much!
Many warm hugs and regards
And may you have a Happy New Year!
Sincerely,
– Ariana

Hi Ariana, thanks for letting me know that you enjoy my reading! It’s not strange at all — this is one of the things that’s so wonderful about the internet. We can connect with complete strangers if we have a common interest!
Happy new year, and I hope you find lots more books to listen to at LibriVox :)

I wanted to add a thank you to the list. I’m a big fan of audiobooks, and am extraordinarily fond of a lot of Burnett’s works.
I’ve read a book onto tape for my husband once, and know the work involved. It’s very well-done and I’m grateful that you decided to do so.
Great work!

I’ve just discovered the audio book app on the iphone and I am currently listening to “The secret garden” I just wanted to say you have a soothing wonderful voice! You’ve inspired me to do some volunteering of my own. Thank you for doing what you do.

Happy New Year to you too!!
It’s so nice to know there are others who share the same sentiment. The Secret Garden and A Little Princess is not the same when read by someone else. I listen to these when I really want to relax and it takes me to another place.
Happy Year of the “Tigre”!
