I enjoyed the first book – it’s dark and strange and *different*. The second was ok, and I couldn’t finish the third. Your mileage may vary. The movie trailer is exciting to Henry and me — it looks like the cast is good, and the atmosphere looks right. So we’re allowing ourselves to be excited, on the off chance that the movie doesn’t suck :)
